ZATNav designed a UAV and drone training simulator that lets crews rehearse flight operations before real-world deployment.
UAV operators need realistic rehearsal for take-off, landing, and cruise procedures, including how to respond to malfunctions and emergencies, without the cost and risk of flying a real aircraft.
ZATNav integrated a trainee console, made up of mission control software, internal pilot software, UAV simulation software, and visualization software, with a separate instructor station running instructor and mission-replay software. The two are connected through live telemetry and command links, so instructors can launch scenarios, adjust environmental conditions, and induce system malfunctions in real time.
A complete, self-contained training environment that lets crews rehearse a full range of flight conditions and emergency scenarios safely, before ever flying a real UAV.
